hi guys, my wifes father is dying so she needs to get to bkk this week anytime around 25th oct returning on 25th november or thereabouts ( flexible ) we need cheapest flights for her and 2 year old baby daughter.

any info regarding good deals would be appreciated, she needs to go from belfast city to uk or even amsterdam then a direct flight from either london/ manchester/amsterdam etc

Call around to a few airlines and ask them about compassionate fares. Some may also give you a rebate afterwards if you provide evidence of a family member's death.

A friend of mine in similar circumstances got a good deal from Thai. She did go into the London office and talked to them, maybe that helped, but can't hurt to call.

If you want DIRECT from UK you are limited on choice as only Qantas/BA . Thai, Eva Air fly direct as far as I know.

I tried many airlines when my father passed away to no avail. I have heard that Thais coming back to Thailand for a family bereavement can try Thai airways and might get better prices.
