October 21, 201114 yr I had a similar experience; my wife became so obsessed with our ipad2 that I had to buy another one. I feel too young to be expressing such bewilderment but seriously, these gadgets are just impossibly amazing; the iphone, ipad, SGS2, tab - how are they so thin, light, powerful and intuitive? It's mind-blowing.

An expensive gaming platform. You must have to charge the phone every few hours? Maybe you could focus her attention on a different gaming platform? PC, PSP, Nintendo DS, X-box? Or on different activities? Or limit her game playing to 1 hour per day?
