British Court Jails Pervert For Thailand Trip

I would be happy to cure him and any other pedo nonces hanging around these parts, but I can't guarantee they will enjoy my methods much........

Take a number and wait your turn.

These "hang 'em high" posts remind me of the two-minutes' hate in the book 1984, or of the stoning of the devil figure in the Hajj in mecca. Everyone loves an easy target to vent their general negative energy against and show how they're such good people in contrast to the perverts. Inevitably any news story about someone convicted of something like this leads to everyone trying to one-up each other in terms of who's making the strongest condemnation that most insinuates physical violence. I'm not defending anyone who commits this or any other kind of crime against other people, but seriously, this gets a little old.

People's sense of revulsion doesn't wear thin at this type of crime. Sorry if that upsets you but there it is.

Heartily agree.

The people piling on have their own 'perversion', that of wishing to do harm to others, given what they see as sufficient pretext. It's at least as sick as sexual exploitation, especially since it's hard to delude yourself that you are doing no harm to anyone. Quite the opposite, harm, and some self-satisfaction seems to be the intent.

And often, it's a case of 'let's have the state hang 'em'. Kind of like the public hangings that most countries used to do, and the less-civilized still do. Not a pretty picture of humanity, people cheering someone else's torment, as if any cause is sufficient.

Nothing in what I'm saying should be construed as condoning child sex abuse. Quite the opposite, I don't think ANYONE should be abused by another human being. There are plenty of ways to protect society from these types. Given his history, the legal system failed. It should be fixed.

prevention always better than cure.

If he has a record going back decades-WHY was he allowed a passport ??????,,,,,,,,,,,secret trip.............he should be monitored daily. There is no cure. my comment to this is outrageous HERE GOES---------------Give him access to pornography at his home--movies-pictures- to look at and satisfy himself, and a pain killer called tramadol, he will not get sexual feelings. This painkiller I got in Thailand for nerve pain-( and discovered it's other properties)

The UK govt ALLOWED him to go to Thailand because few Brit kids there. NOW it has a conscience. Very convenient.

While most people consider those who look at such photos to be despicable.

Does it actually harm anyone?

If it harms nobody, should these persons be punished as harshly as some of you suggest.

Does looking at photos of murdered people (there are such internet sites) make one a murderer, who should be jailed for life?

The UK has already decided that reading a terrorist magazine makes you a terrorist, just how far will this action be taken.

based on the information in the post, which is questionable, the above comment is the first bit of reason thus far.

OMG words fail me. How on earth can you people actually support and defend the actions of pedophilles. I have my idea but won't say what it is.

The 63-year-old has a series of convictions stretching back decades.

I'd be more than happy to help you to cure them in a way that they could (and would) never do it again, I swear....sad.gif

I'd be happy to provide the bullets....

Ok, I propose the same punishment that you or anyone else might propose, except.... infinity times worse.

That means I've won the one-upmanship game of expressing revulsion regarding this criminal, and that proves that I'm the best person here. As Newton observed regarding actions resulting in reactions, by condemning this guy infinity times more than everyone else, I've thrusted myself in the opposite direction of him and have proven what a good person I am. Since I called infinity first, jinx on everyone else, nobody else can top me.

As far as his crimes resulting in a feeling of revulsion, I mean, I'm a father of two. I certainly think people who harm children are criminals and deserve to be treated and punished as such. But there is some odd sociologic phenomenon going on here, with regards to this hang 'em high stuff. I mean, if someone were to take a gun and shoot my son in the head, that would actually bother me a lot, too. Actually, it would bother me even more than a lot of other crimes that could happen to him. But I don't think there would be a feeding frenzy of people posting on the internet ever-stronger condemnations, which actually serve ultimately just to underscore what good people they really are, as evidenced by the revulsion they feel about the crime.

Being anti pedophille is not try to be tough. Being pro rock spider is sick. If one does not agree with the actions of kiddy fidlers then why does the pro pedophille movement brand them as trying to be tough? Some of us in society care about children being abused by these people and some think that the children are here for thier pleasure. So brand me a tough guy if I do not support your pedophille views.

@ ludditeman; of course it harms someone. The harm was done to the original person in the photo/video. As more people look at the photo/videos they are creating further demand for those types of photos/videos, therefore , more harm will be done to children to enable the supply of such photos/videos. So clearly it harms the children in the photos/videos and perpetuates further harm. There is a clear link between looking at child pornography and committing indecent acts against children

Your comparison of looking at photos of murdered people is ridiculous. There is no correlation between seeing a murder shot and committing murder.

May I suppose that you are not consulting childpornsites on regular basis? If you go accidentally ok, but if you are a regular visitor for 15 years and more if you are the photographer I am sorry to say that for my opinion you are more than guilty.

To all the people that are so anti child abuse, what have you done to stop the rampant child abuse in evidence at any tourist area in Thailand?

I'm talking about forcing very young children to peddle chewing gum etc to tourists in the early hours of the morning. I"m talking about allowing babies to be used as props to extract money from passersby by beggars.

On Walking St in Pattaya, a very young girl is having her back ruined by being made to do contortions for tourists most nights.

While it may not be as severe as sexual abuse, wanting to inflict physical damage to another human being for taking pictures ( of an admittedly bad thing ), while ignoring the abuse that is visible every night in Nana Plaza et al is, IMO, bordering on hypocrisy.

Excuse us for making our statement and excuse us for writing down that we disagree with child abuse. Excuse us that we are not extreme. I hope you do more than raising your shouting voice, because that is all I can read in your post.

Well said.

I think it would be safe to say that no one would be calling for the sort of punishment that they are advocating for the paedophile.

Funny world we live in. It's OK to exploit young children to make money, but just inject the word sex into the statement and it's all the "hang 'em high" crowd trying to prove how much damage they could inflict on another human being.

Paedophilia is a disease, and trying to stop it by treating it as a crime is pointless. Paedophiles have no more control over it than we do the common cold.

Till society starts trying to figure out how to prevent paedophiles having the desire, rather than punishing them, nothing will change.

I bet many men posting here have looked at fairly harmless fetish sites without wanting to participate in the fetish itself.

I can look at photos of ladies wearing rubber and high heels without the urge to meet the ladies or dress in a similar fashion.

One of our very own Mods depicts herself by using a photo of legs wearing fishnet stockings and a whip.

Nobody suggests that she actually goes out dressed like that with a view to beating people.

To make any sense of justice of this matter, one would have to know what age the children were, what their state of dress was and what they were doing in the photos.

The judge who passed sentence couldn't have thought the photos were all that indecent, as he gave a fairly short punishment.

I also think one should be able to suggest that not everyone branded a pedophile should be mutilated or killed out of hand, without being accused of

1) showing approval for their actions in any way

2) being one

3) having someone hinting they would like to do one harm

There are some posters on this thread showing symptoms of serious mental illness, get help guys.

Sorry to ask, but...are you drunk? In order to "harmlessly" look at those pictures, they have to be MADE! Do you get that? Somewhere there is a child between 4 months and 17 years, being RAPED by someone so that pictures will be taken! Is that clear? If you love beer, beer will be brewed. If you love cake, cake will be baked, If you love seeing little children getting f-ed, they will be!

Man, I hope you were joking. Than I would thought you are just tasteless. Otherwise, I would have to assume, you drank your brain to tiny bits!

There is a little difference between a fetish side, with ADULT models, who MAY well be OK with what they are doing and CHILDPORNOGRAPHY, where CHILDREN are sold or kidnapped into RAPINGS! Do you get that? I know, that some of women in porn and not in it for fun, some might even be raped as well, but (let's just assume) 99% are somehow doing a JOB! Whereas 100% of babys and children being raped for childporn are NOT ok with it, are NOT having fun and are NOT consenting! PERIOD!

I am not sure that punishing them is the correct term to be used here. If you are saying that they cannot control what they do and are therefore a danger to the most vunerable people then surely they should be isolated from the mainstream population in some way.

Whilst I agree that it is most unfortunate - not least for the prospects of eliminating pedophilia - that grown adults are reduced to bloodthirsty animals when the issue is brought up, I do think the rest of what you have to say is pretty much nonce-sense.

the worrying thing is he probably paid someone for a safe, unchallenged passage into the country.

sadly, this kind of behaviour will continue whilst (some)people in authority will continue too put lining their own pockets before the welfare of young children.

it has been reported on numerous occasions that some of these criminals have been spotted around pattaya even after a few days of their publicised arrest.

He should have been kept in Thailand and chained to a seat at Sony's assembly line in Nava Nakorn. :jap:

Joking apart, I assume the answer to the question of how he got a UK passport while still subject to a sex offender order in the UK is that he didn't need to get one. Ireland regards all Irish people North of the border as its citizens and freely issues passports to them.
