WarpSpeed
great thread! I think it should run in the main forum, without restricting it to vehicles. Cheers! Sorry I've been away thanks for everyone keeping the spirit of thread going we've been running from floods ourselves and been displaced and I can't relate to you how difficult it is, we are not going to be back home for weeks at minimum, maybe months it isn't anything like a vacation.. I missed an opportunity for some great pics not risking the camera getting wet already ruined my phone, but did manage to catch a few.. I saw a truck being pontoon-ed out on a really sophisticated flotation system which attached to both sides and attached in the middle.. I promised to post a picture of my car being barged out and here it is.. Cost me 5000b but glad we took action when we did .. Here's another being pontoon-ed out a bit less securely the same night, but they made it! As this was at the boat ramp out of the mess to higher, dry land and freedom!.. WarpSpeed
This was it! Well done Boycie! The one I saw, though it was unfolded and floating at the time, I saw this contraption on Srong bra pa Rd.. It was some set up, I had no idea it folded too? What a rig! I wonder? Could they have made this just for this occasion? I'd have to say this is some pretty darn sharp engineering.. WarpSpeed
Wow! Nothing? No comments? I thought my barge picture would raise some posts? Well anyone who knows my posts knows that I don't own a Honda I have a SEAT so it's not my car but it fit the bill. I do have some pictures taken from my car though as I had a tow out on the back of a slide-on but not from a side perspective and the cost was actual but we had some real inflated estimates. Here I am making the miles long trek but it was all good I just took some jpegs and vids while listening to the tunes in the A/C. Close to the end he was almost running this pickup into the submerged curb I couldn't figure out what that was all about? The water rose another meter after this and breached the sand bags in this PTT station and the Army Base that is dry in the background of the jpegs below they had big pumps but they became overwhelmed. I was quite happy I took action though and had it towed out. The car would have been ok as I had jacked it up on stands but we would have been locked in with no transport for weeks..
