Snake Catchers

Featured Replies

I don't think it's a rat snake. My wife and I think it's a monocled cobra. I saw two at my house yesterday. http://www.siam-info...akes_naja.html. They are a brownish with white underside and some white almost strips. Their head only flairs when they are in a defensive mode. I see them around this time every year at my house in Rawai.

I can't see anything from the photo that resembles 'monocles' on the snake. Similarly, I couldn't see anything on the back of its head giving it away as a King Cobra.

Must admit my first thought was Rat snake, but it seems a bit thin?

Thanks OP - I'm sure there are many of us looking for snake catchers every now and again.
