Rimmer Posted October 28, 2011 Share Posted October 28, 2011 870 Pattaya flood victims get 5,000 baht each PATTAYA: -- Up to 870 families affected by the series of floods that hit Pattaya this rainy season received 5,000 baht each, along with more promises from city officials to fix the inadequate infrastructure behind the problem. Deputy Mayor Wutisak Rermkitkarn, Banglamung District Chief Chawalit Saeng-Uthai and area MP Poramet Ngampichet gathered at Pattaya School No. 6 Oct. 13 to hand out the stipends to 870 victims of September’s floods. Chawalit said that even as area politicians pushed the national government for relief funds, they were surveying impacted areas to come up with longer-term improvements.
