Chao River Taxi Ok For Today?

Featured Replies

Is the Chao River taxi still running, today? Anyone know?

Hello Goodmind ~

If you are speaking of the River Express Boats that run the length of the river they stopped operating on Sun Oct. 23rd. I can only report from the Nonthaburi Pier (last stop in the North) That as of last night at 8pm the boats that ferry people straight to the other side...(one minute ride) were still operating from Thanam Non ~

Ok, I am thinking of a different route now:

I am in Chinatown and would like to meet someone at BTS, possibly Siam Pargon BTS. If anyone has ideas about the road conditions between Chinatown and Paragon BTS, it would be great to know. Thank you.

Parts of Yaowarat road near the Hua lamphong end were flooded yesterday morning, but that was probably just after high tide and press reports said that the water subsided within a few hours.

That flooding caused a bit of traffic buildup heading west. If you are heading east to Paragon you will probably travel on Charoen Krung road, north of Yaowarat road and further from the river. Should be OK.
