Flood Refugees Need Short Term Housing

I'm going to ask the mods indulgence and not demand this be placed in the classified sections where it will get lost.

I really need a 2 month 3-4 bedroom rental house somewhere in the Chonburi-Pattaya-Rayong area for my family and another that are refugees from the flooding in Pathumthani. I have 2 small toddlers that my wife can not watch by herself, and unfortunately our nanny has her own family to worry about. We are good friends with a very nice, middle class Thai family who are great with our children and have graciously offered to help take care of them so I can work, but we need a reasonably large house for everyone to stay.

I must have internet access in order to work. My boss doesn't care if I do it from home, but currently I don't even have the time as keeping the children from annoyingr the friends we are currently staying with in Pattaya is a full time job.

If anyone knows a kind person who has a house they are willing to rent for a short term, and return the security deposit when we leave (while I can probably afford the rent assuming it doesn't get jacked up to much over normal I can not afford double the rent by losing the security deposit) I would really appreciate the assistance.

I am sure there are hundreds of others in my position as well, so perhaps during this crisis we can make a general thread where anyone who can make short term housing available at non inflated prices can let everyone know?

your wife cant control the kids, you cant work trying to control the kids, if you had a house for rent would you want them in it. suggest you tour round the darkside (east pattaya)and look in the gated communities but leave the kids with the friends

The Darkside is already pretty full with no houses on Pornthip 2 or 3 left for rent, not sure about the Siam Estates might be worth a look. I have a guest house and maid's quarters empty but no internet access so no use to you but if a thead is started I would be happy to make them available to a family in need. Try the Tulip Resort 0867088651 they had one two bedroom bungalow available as of yesterday PM. Good Luck

Landlords in Pattaya are not interested in anything less than three months, they would rather turn customers away, with budget accomodation I understand why but with higher end 50K above it dosnt make sense. You can try the usual classifieds but will find its the same. Best bet is drive around and see what you find with a sign outside but still think you will find the same problem.....might be worth looking further South at Rayong or Sattahip, landlords not so greedy there.
