I found out-it is a snake.Elephant trunk head,is the name-and it lives here in Thailand to.

Eeechh. What a nightmare to meet in the water! Is it dangerous?

Edit: OK, did a little googling: " It is not fierce and has no poison."

OK, back to my peaceful nap on my flotation device.

Just as long as he/she doesn't mate with the local naga's.

Just saw a discovery channel special on the Naga....now there is/was one hell of a creature. Burrowed out the entire Mae Kong river. And now i know why so many Thai temples have those Naga heads and the tail running down the steps.
