Ekami Bus Station Crowded?

Featured Replies

Hi,

Anyone have any info as to if Ekamai Bus Station is crowded with departing travelers?

Have heard it is packed would just like confirmation.

Thanx

drove past 1/2 an hour ago and it wasn't especially busy - looked like a normal day. Maybe inside it was busy but from the road looked fine. Hope that helps

you did not hear-with ears-but READ-with eyes.

This was for 1 day-now 1 week ago. Why do we now have to negate any of these -wasoncetrueforanhour- rumours by people too anxious. And anyway-imagine it is still so-would you postpone your escape from flooded BKK for that reason? Is common sense a commodity lost forever?

BUT; next potential prob-if Pattaya (as most farang seem to know nothing lse) would be your destination-this town is pretty full and many hotels reported to have no space. Make a RES to be sure-if that is it. or go elsewhere.

These past few days, it hasn't been too busy. Last two weeks, yes. If it's busy it's usually in the morning before noon. In the afternoon it tends not to be too busy. One of the city buses I take to go down town passes relatively close to Ekamai Bus station. You can see the ticket booths from say, Pattaya right near the front.

Now, if it gets crowded. Then the station has extra buses to help accommodate an overflow of people hoping to get out of Bangkok, ASAP.

If you have you doubt, I would suggest asking a Taxi driver, they would know. Since, they ferry people back and forth between and too the Bus stations.
