Hey All, I'm coming over to Thailand in a couple of weeks and hoping to find a nice spot on KPG from where I can work during the day (online business in the UK). I see very mixed reports of the internet speed on the island, but would anybody be able to confirm an average expected connected speed, and indeed any relative inexpensive guesthouses/hotels from where I could access said internet. Much appreciated

You will have to check when you get here since some will have pretty decent speeds and others will not. Check to see if they use the dedicated CAT line, that is going to be faster.

I appreciate that it may well be the case that some connections are much better than others. As long as I know that there is the possibility of finding a very good connection on the island then i'm sure i'll be able to track it down. Just so long as it exists!
