Pajero Export.

Featured Replies

My friend just asked me is there any saving shipping a Brand New Pajero GT 4WD unregistered one back to Dublin. What about E.U. Regs etc... ??. Before you start ,i know should have asked in the Mental Health section.. But hes rather keen, and been told they don't have them there. He did say the New Model is much nice its nicer than the old one my Daughter lent him months back . God bless Him, it was a Sportivo.. Would it be a Tax Free Export . ?,

Ask a removal company to give you a quote

Large exporters like Expat Motors aka Siam......, TV sponsor, do not seem to manage to avoid TH tax. So retail price pluss 1k usd for a container will be price in to UK

With pickups its pretty simple, as E-marked parts are available to be replaced. PJS and tuna its harder, all parts must be checked here are E marked, like all lights, seatbelts etc

and you need a heater/defroster, which can be sourced from triton parts bin

let a pro handle it, they know if its doable

and in January he gets euroIV emission in TH, saves bundles of tax back home

The Pajero Sport GT already has a heater and front/rear window defrosters, and since the minor change a couple of months ago is now also EuroIV with particulate filter.

It still doesn't sounds like a cost effective idea though ;)

Must admit , im a bit miffed , what's the saving , as one who hates paperwork and Government Folk it would need to be a good amount.. If it goes wrong there, no one cares i would have thought, no dealers made a cent . MRO must have his own reasons to add.

Bear in mind he'll have to pay both VAT and VRT, the latter will be levied at a purchase price set by Irish authorities. I suspect those costs will add about 60% onto the Thai purchase price.

The only firm price he got was 650.GBP. To Southampton, on deck ,no container. Everyone it seems wants to register it here and run it in the U.K. for 3 Months on Thai Plates for some reason..I Think hes seen the light , too much hassle . Ive passed on all your info to him , he says thanks to you. I thought Pajeroes were popular in the U.K..,or is this one Asia Only.?...........coffee1.gif

Pajero is a rather advanced design, monocoque and petrol only

pajero sport as sold in TH, is simple stuff for developing markets, and designed to escape excicetax in TH by frame design/7 seats/max 3250cc

It is. Pajero is to soft for heavy duty offroad, so PJS is the base for their Dakar racer. One more requirement for TH tax break, solid rear axle. Pajero is individual

I report the Death of a Sale. He was misled that the 170 H.P. came from a Petrol Engine. As was my Friend from USA ,with a Tuna, they both went on price, thinking for that price they didn't get some outdated inefficient Oiler , but the same Top End Spec you get back home ..Sales Persons here should be regarded tha same as Time Share Touts . Hes one pissed off Dude.
