Basically that would be drill but have no knowledge of exact paperwork/number of copies Jomtien will require.

Thanks Lopburi for the feedback - you and Mario have been a great help - in fact now there is some chance they will actually get their extensions to stay in Thailand without too much hassle.

"Considering retirement in LOS" is not an option offered by Hull.

They call it "Visiting Thailand as retired person aged 50 years and over" under the heading "non-immigrant visa, category O". Get the non-O visa for this purpose, then after arrival in Thailand apply at the local immigration office for a one-year extension for the reason of retirement.
