Pool League

Featured Replies

Ive got a few mates that run various bars around the island...from Rawaii to Phuket town and Kata to Patong. Im not much of a pool player but I do enjoy seeing my mates establishments do well. Is there much interest here in this forum for a pool league? The problem is for each bar/guesthouse/club owner is securing players all year round (im away 6 months of the year). Even if it wasnt bar against bar...it could be territory against territory...Like Chalong Vs Phuket Town.

I remember a few years back there was a few joints from around the Chalong/Rawaii/Nai Harn area and it was pretty well organised, there was end of year prizes like BBQs and Sandwich makers (I still have mine). Its good for a bit of comradeship and fun

Don't they still have a pool league in Rawai? Or is that only for Bar vs Bar?

Have a word with Jon at Solution Bar in Kata,i know the bar play in a pool league every Thursday night,he may be able to give you some more info.

Snamos, i remember those pool games, they were freindly games between the Red Lion[nahairn..now closed]..Happy Days Chalong and the former Islander bar [Rawai]...they were good fun and the losing team used to buy the beer,, but like all good things they stopped mainly because some of the players got to serious, and the Red lion ended up winning most of the time, good fun while it lasted...

There is a pool league running at the moment....john Solutions is part of it
