Carabao Unveils Year-end Project

Thailand's legendary country-folk band Carabao will organize the Carabao New Year Expo to bring together all of its work and to thank fans who supported it over the past 30 years.

For three decades, the great country-folk band Carabao has been entertaining audiences throughout the country with its unique style and a total of 26 albums released.

The band held a press conference to announce its big project entitled “Carabao New Year Expo” under the concept of “Rehabilitate the Body and Mind to Welcome the New Year”.

It hopes that the event will help Thais relax and relieve their stress after the heavy floods.

Fans will be able to learn about the band's history and work over the past 30 years through old photos to be showcased at the Carabao Gallery and Carabao Theater.

Fans will have a chance to closely meet with the band's members to learn the band's distinctive style in a workshop.

The event will be ended with a concert gathering the band's all-time hits to thank their fans.

“Carabao New Year Expo” will be held at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center for free of charge from December 21 to 27, each day with a different theme.

What a great idea they could even charge a very small donation and put the money towards disadvantaged "flood victims" - Question who would handle the allocation of the money - Answer CARABAO himself -why not he is very well thought of right throughout the country who knows he could become the next Sir Bob Geldoff?

Donation for flood? At nausea- every single day every shop, every institution does collections-would you trust a Thai with some paper box saying donations? And not ending up as ''gift from dear uncle T in Dubai now? BTW: yesterday, in a renowned temple, smack in BKK here, I saw the proudly shown donations from ''buddhists in''Malaysia'': 2 conatiners of bottles water and even 2 supersize and 2 small boats-still standing idle in the mid of dry BKK-thats really helping!
