well Oz. there are not many good places in samphran. but Nakhon Pathom has lots of nice places.

near samphran you have Orange restuarant. and. for a beer there is a small pub on petchasem near the samphran traffic lights.

Well thats a start, thanks for that. I see alot of farang around, being close to Tesco, but haven't managed to find the local 'hangout' as yet, are we Central Thailand? 30km from BKK....

there is no real local hangout as such. most falang are teachers so don't tend to drink in the week. Me I go to NK at the weekend it's so much better than SP.

JSM further down petkasem is a nice enough restaurant but take a jacket the aircon is COLD.

Hi Oz,as thaicbr say's , not much in Samphran-i usually get on my bike & head to either Om Noi further East down Phetkasem Rd (towards BKK) or West to Nakhon Pathom. There's a few bars & local Thai nightclubs , scattered around but i'm yet to discover a 'meeting-point' as such for expats in the area.Being a teacher in Samphran though i tend to wanna get out of town come friday & ride into BKK for the weekend.

Hi guys

I am teaching in Nakhon Pathom at Silpakorn and have been having the same problem. Not found anyone to hang out with and the bars seem pretty dead. So if anyone fancies a beer do drop me a line. Off back to UK for a couple of weeks tomorrow (20/1/2012) but any time after that I will be looking to hang out.

I looked up Samphran and it is not that far from Mueang Nakhon Pathom.

Hey I will be moving back to Nakhon pathom in around 6 months time. Definitely keen to make some expat friends as although I am Thai born, I grew up in oz. lived here a few years ago and taught at anuban pathom for a year. Not keen to teach again this time round but there's probably not much else I can do in the area that earns decent money?

well make sure you have an education degree for your teaching license. it's getting tougher to find and keep a decent job these days.

I live in southern Suphanburi, not far from Nakhon Pathom and for entertainment I go to the market to check availability and prices of my favorite fruits and vegetables...just found a stall with home made tofu and that made my day...

for refreshment I'll go down to one of the stalls near the bus station and order a tall Leo beer...the beer is undrinkable but there are a lot of pretty country girls in small shorts, crotch high, native attire for young girls in this savage environment...

in panama hat pulled low and mirrored shades, no one can tell that I am silently slavering over the youthful smooth brown thighs and etc...'thanks, Mr tutsi! see you again soon!...'
