Advertisements That Seem To Good To Be True

Featured Replies

Over last two months ive seen a couple of bikes for sale that looked.. well too good to be true... a whole lot of bike for not allot of cash... I think it was a Repsol cbr1000 late model for 150K or something like that and a few others....

Are there ads put on the board for bikes at silly prices as a tool to get you to come to shop or something like that.. i.e. ads that are designed to bait you when bike either doesn't exist or is not for actual sale at that price.

I had thought all the ads here were fairly reputable however just seen one or two over last month that makes me ask the question.

I never followed through in anyway with the ads in question but wondered if the wise owls on this board had any thoughts...

Hi ''Monty , regarding the CBR1000 the prics seems about right if it is a grey import without a green book, but if it is registered well that is a different story altogether,

Either no green book / papers; or, scam. Scams are when the seller asks you to forward some money & when the sold goods are somehow out of the country and need to be shipped into the country...

Monty,

You should know by now that the girls outside the bars beckoning you in are the prettiest ones employed by the bar.

Ha , I like that analogy, very true and apt....
