Green Mambas

Featured Replies

Were those pesky green mambas ever caught or seen again? I am in Bangkok and think of them often when I'm having beers round town.

I used to live in Zambia and remember whilest fishing in the Kafue river one fell out of the tree onto my shoulder, not sure who was more surprised it or me but I bolted like a mad man, it fell into the water and merrily went on its way.

When I used to go out for beers my thoughts were about green bikinis....times have changed!

I don't think you'll see any in the pubs or bars - beer isn't on their daily diet thumbsup.gif

My room mate saw a green snake in the garden a couple weeks ago. From his description it sounded like a pit viper though. He was close enough to decide it wasn't a mamba or a harmless garden snake. I asked him if he killed it or had someone remove it but his response was. "Oh no, I left alone. When I saw big head and small body I walked away." So needless to say now I'm overly paranoid everytime I walk through the trees out front or sit down for a smoke in the garden.

To the OP: That's usually called delirium tremens over here...

Was waiting to meet someone in chatuchak park yesterday and some green snake jumped out from a tree at someone. Do you get regular grass/tree snakes over here? I almost shit my pants.
