Yes, daughters. We live up north, they are in school in BKK so I am going down for the weekend to entertain them.

Thanks for your input.

Is it really that huge?

Where is the best firework display in Bangkok, near the river?

Balo, central world is massive in terms of crowds but imo head down to the river near the hotels like shang, sheraton, penin, hilton and oriental, the fireworks on the barges against the backdrop of the river can't be beat.

Cw is full of important people apparently yacking on microphones, 400000 people jammed together-great if you want to people watch I guess but not my style.

To each their own, some people like cw though. I don't like the crowds.

giggle.gif HAHAHA!! I wish I could have gotten to this thread sooner. The question of what to do with 2 teen girls in Bangkok was begging for a joke...

Central World is terribly overcrowded.. not much of fun. Riverside has many high end hotels and all of them have nice fireworks. Sirocco would be probably best place to watch the show but very pricy as well :D
