Leasing A Dump Truck

Featured Replies

Can 6 or 8 wheel dump trucks be leased / rented by a Thai national on a weekly, monthly or greater time span?

I see many places where you can pay by the ton, but not where one can lease a truck without paying for a driver.

Now I know a farang cannot drive a commercial vehicle, which is why I am specifing a Thai citizen as the person doing the leasing and driving.

You failed to mention what part of the country you are in which would matter a great deal as far as availability goes. If you have a thai license for driving a truck you can drive it for your own use but not as a commercial venture, at least you can in the north-east anyway, but as usual that would depend on the local transport department. I was allowed to drive my truck on my Thai car license with my International license for trucks because their school or oral tests were only in Thai, so how could i understand it or them me. But all in all i think you will find it difficult to find a tipper to rent, all the best, good luck.

This is in phetchabun area, I wasn't interested in driving it myself, just leasing it for my fiance's busines in that part of the country. She really needs at least a 6 wheel truck, a 8 wheel would be better. But paying for one on a by the load basis doesn't work well.
