Finnish Man Injured In Late Night Attack On Beach

Featured Replies

Confused Finnish man injured in late night attack on Jomtien Beach.

A Police Patrol Unit based at Dongtan Police Sub-station on Jomtien Beach were on routine patrol along the beach late on Sunday night when they noticed a foreign man, covered in blood sitting on the beach. They approached him and led him across the road where he was offered a glass of water and medical assistance. He was clearly in an intoxicated state and it was proving difficult for the officers to communicate with him.

All that we know is he is of Finnish Nationality and what we don’t know is why his face was in such a damaged state. He was eventually persuaded to seek medical assistance and the rescue workers transported him to hospital. Police theorize he was attacked by someone or a group on the beach as he was not carrying any possessions which were probably stolen. Police are waiting for the victim to sober-up before they continue their investigation into this case.

Bet it was the aggressive lady boys .

Way to many of them hanging around the beach area late at night in Jomtien.

Its almost as bad as beach road in Pattaya.

I noticed that more and more hotels at the Jomtien area have memo letters in they 're lobby warning not to walk out alone after dark.. This probably wouldn't help tourists coming back after a first trip. :o

Looks like Jomtien beach is becoming a dangerous place after dark probably because the area is less crowded then Pattaya beach.

I wouldn’t say dangerous but the lady boys are a problem

Don’t recall seeing any signs in hotel warning about late night problems

In Jomtien, what hotels are you talking about.??

Have a nice day.

That’s good advice by the hotel, the beach outside that place is not

a big hangout for the Lady boys, its more opposite Soi Whitehouse.

They wait for the guys to come out of the bars off there tree and make a move,

if you go on the beach side of the road that is.

This has been going on for the last year not so good for Jomtien, :o

Finns are pretty heavy drinkers and not known for their calm temperament though.

If you stay away from the homosexual beach area you won't have any problems in Jomtien. The whole area north of the police station belongs to the gay group.

Being drunk and being on Pattaya or Jomtiem Beach late at night alone will more than likely result in a problem. Common sense at all times is required when in Patters. :o

Sage advice for most places in the world!!! :D

And what police station would that be????, one in Jomtien ????

or do you meen the two little police boxs along the beach about two kilometers apart ???

No road, beach, bar, or Area is just for gays or belongs to gays.

Up to you where you drink or walk TIT.

Have a nice day :o

Kayo - I though exactly the same upon reading the OP. In addition, most Finns seem to speak pretty poor English, and if this guy was not too "culturally aware" either, he was just an incident waiting to happen.....
