britmaveric Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 French man injured in Baht Bus related road crash on Pattaya Beach Road. A minor accident now from Pattaya Beach Road involving a French man on a motorbike and a Baht Bus. The injured man is Mr. Stefane Calloustian aged 31 who was driving his rented Honda motorbike. He told Police that he was following a Baht Bus which broke heavily when the driver saw a potential customer. The French man was driving close to the bus and could not stop in time and lost control of the bike and fell to the ground and luckily avoided a collision with the bus which could have resulted in more serious injury. The Baht Bus did not remain at the scene and was not to blame for the crash according to Police. We would like to remind you that should you drive a motorbike in Pattaya, please ensure that you remain fully aware of other vehicles, especially Baht Bus’s who often break sharply when they spot potential customers. The injured man was sent to Hospital and was treated for minor facial cuts and bruises and was released a few hours later.
DJ Pat Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 When i was biking round town a few weeks back I had several near misses with the F*ckers. They are inconsiderate c*nts and you should remember that. Be incredibly alert.

I do say least the motor taxi(s) drive like Pro(s) - need get somewhere quick through height of traffic no problem. (experts at dodge - em)
tuky Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 Bring on the Tuk Tuk, perfect for a Pattaya minus baht buses.
Mighty Mouse Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 It's difficult enough trying to ride a motor cycle in the rain on two bald tyres, whilst totally inebriated, with two bar girls sitting on the pillion seat and one on the handle bars carrying her pet orangatang, without having to dodge baht bus drivers too.
johnnyk Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 Following at a safe distance, was he? Run into someone from behind, its your fault. Anywhere.

I hope they fined him.

Gary A Posted December 1, 2005 Posted December 1, 2005 A couple months ago in Jomtien I saw a farang with his leg in a cast, a brace on his neck and the biggest black eye I had ever seen. He was trying to drink a beer and was obviously in pain. It turns out he was IN a baht bus that hit a motorcycle and then rolled over. The guy was banged up big time but he was way better off than the motorcycle driver. DEAD!
