I have been using the Big C card for quite some time during my weekend shopping and i am sure i must have made a lot of points in there . How do i redeemed those points ? Has anyone tried it ? Do we actually get discounts using that card ?

Take a look at your cash receipts - from time to time you will receive tokens for redemption as your points amassed add up. I don't use it as much as the wife, but still I frequently receive 5 and 10 baht tokens.

Every penny counts these days mate! But no doubt there will be the hi-so farangs who say why bother?

You go to the service counter and they check and let you know if you have enough to get something. I haven't shopped there much lately but I used to always check, usually got some coupons for highway tolls. I think you have to use the points in a certain time, like one month?

You get the tokens on your cash receipts after you spend a certain amount of money. If you're anything like me and spend an average B4,000 per shop at Big C, your receipt (with coupons) will be about two metres long. Occasionally they also have offers, where you receive a gift or can participate in a small game to win a prize. Usually, the cashiere will warn you if you need to go to the gift desk.

Yes you get the little discounts from time to time with the till reciepts. But at the 31st december I bought a dvd and went and got the bill changed so I had my name on the bill for proof of address . When I got home I showed the g/f and she was pleased with this, then she started studying the long till roll and said we have to go to big C! Why its packed, we can go again tomorow. NO we have to go today! Yes it was still packed no trolleys available. Got to the checkout, bill is 437 bts! Give girl till reciept and 500 bts, change............262 bts!!!! Thats why they were so busy, everyone redeeming the points. If we had gone on the 1st Jan we would have lost the returned cash. Thats the way I understand it, if you want to check if its carried over try going to customer services and ask how many points you have, I suspect its been re set.

You now know for this year, 31st Dec is a shopping day.
