I have been told that I have too much time on my hands and need to get more LOL.

i am retired and living in Rangsit so I am looking to see if there is an orphanage close to me that I could go to once in awhile. Also what is the policy on working there.

The Thai gf, my sister and I went to the Phaya Thai orphanage just before Christmas.

Made merit, donated money and Powered Milk.

Third trip there over the past few years.

If you haven't been before, don't think that it is located in Phaya Thai as it was moved some years ago.

We usually get the BTS to Mo Chit, opposite the week-end markets then mini-van it out, then motorcycle the last part of the journey.

Without the gf, I'd have no idea where I was going in the van and the taxi ride might set you back maybe 100 / 120 baht from Mo Chit to the Orphanage.

About 'working' there ... that's a completly different question.

Working with the kids is not a 'one day a week/month' style commitment as the kids get attached to you.

In my three visits there I have never seen a Farang either as a contributor/guest or as a worker.

Any questions, pm me.
