The Biggest Rain Tree

Featured Replies

Here is a challenge for you: Find a rain tree bigger than this one. This beautiful tree is in Mae Taeng in Northern Thailand and it measures 58 meters (190 feet) across on its widest side according to Google Earth. It is a bit hard to see on the image below as the image appears to have been taken during the dry season, but it is one giant tree. You can see from miles away in the Ping River valley and it should have its own zip code it is that big!

If you know of a larger rain tree, find it on Google Earth and post its KMZ location or a screen shot.
