Thai Wife Irish Pension Entitlements?

Featured Replies

I am an Irish national receiving an Irish pension. When I die, is my Thai wife entitled to a widows pension or similar (my wife has never been to Ireland and made tax or insurance contributions)

I have searched ThaiVisa but failed to find anything relating to this, I'm also unsure where the best forum to post this might be.

I'm hoping that someone might have an insight into this question, and oblige, many thanks.

Ask the Irish goverment about any government pension, for a private pensions plan you will have to look into contract terms.

For both is will be necesarry that they are aware of your marriage. The marriage could be proven after you die, but is easier to do before that date.
