January 23, 201214 yr Will their uniforms be as skin tight as their male counterparts? If they are I'll look forward to a traffic ticket evert day. Lol
January 23, 201214 yr Unless I am very much mistaken, computerised traffic lights have been in place in Bangkok for some years, but hardly ever used. That being the case, and accepting a need to upgrade, traffic police neither need to play with the lights, nor to play twinkle toes with the traffic - to which they invariably add to the chaos, in any case. And talking of traffic chaos - and allowing for the ignorance of pretty well all traffic signs and markings by the typical Thai driver - perhaps it is time the transport department gave some serious consideration to other means of control, such as mini roundabouts.

There are a number of roundabouts in Thailand. Ironically, unless they have traffic lights they create chaos!
January 23, 201214 yr Let's just hope that they can get this dangerous sport under control. Bangkok has better traffic signals than almost any big city in the UK yet NO-ONE stops at red lights. Look it up on youtube and you will whince at the close calls poor pedestrians have with ignorant drivers. Not sure that women are right for the job here, but it is better than just hoping that the Thai drivers will learn to drive responsibly. Good luck ladies... you'll need it.
