sidjameson Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Just curious as my friend as never really got over the end of the relationship that can easily be seen as his greatest, in fact only love. I don't think I have had that feeling yet. I wonder what % are lucky enough to find it in Thailand?
WinnieTheKhwai Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 12 years together, two kids.. I'd call that a yes. Of course I had other girlfriends before, but didn't pick that option as it seems weird. "But" I've head girlfriends before?? who doesn't? Or does it mean that a person has had a 'love of their life' before? In that case I picked the right option because I didn't have one of those before.
meatboy Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 21years married and happy as a pig in shit.dont read to much into my topic in the pets forum although i have another love in my life.
sidjameson Posted February 8, 2012 Author Posted February 8, 2012 Love of your life is not measured by length of relationship but by intensity of feelings I would have thought. But I could be wrong, I know little about these things.
slapout Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Some of us reach a stage in life that to wake up in the morning is fantastic. So to put 'love of your life' into hours, days, years etc may not be relavent to our way of thinking. If both parties can/do respond to each other in a acceptable way, its way better than some other possible alternatives.
Popular Post GarryP Posted February 8, 2012 Popular Post Posted February 8, 2012 No. She was at one time, but after 25 years she is more like a favorite piece of furniture. Something taken for granted while it is there, but would be missed if it disappeared. 4

JBL Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Yup she is the one! We may matured a little bit with time but we still have a cheeky sense of adventure & a 3 year old to keep us in line JBL
Thongkorn Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Married for the first time at the age of 56, I hope i have a long life. Took a while to fight her off but relented, But its the best thing i have done, a life alone is not good,
ludditeman Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Always! But remember relationships rarely last (especially in Thailand). 2
Roadman Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Had many loves before but none that come close to this one so yeap easily the love of my life and also the love of her life or same same - each others "Big Love". And for your other question - yes found in Thailand. Looking around among our friends and acquaitances who are falang guy/ thai girl dominant I see a healthy majority who fall into the love of their lives category and found in Thailand. As for your friend surely their stance should be OK that was my greatest love with key thought being to date. As great as something may be unless we move on we will never find the even greater love.
thaifkrlim Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 love of your life mean the sweet young thing that gave you the best sex you ever had.
Bagwan Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Not only the greatest of the fine ladies that I have lived with but for the first time I have a family that shares a mutuaI love and respect. I have never strayed because that would break her heart, and that would hurt me more than the hurt she felt. She is a one woman cuddling machine and can still make my heart skip a beat. 2
Moonrakers Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Yep Swindon Town FC has always been the love of my life. We've had our rough patches, like when we were relegated last season, but still the relationship is as strong as it ever has been. The wife's pretty cool as well. 1
doji Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 YES,,,,,and I hope it will last until the day we can exchange our dentures as the Valentine gift
thaimate Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Always! But remember relationships rarely last (especially in Thailand). The sort that dont last in Thailand are the sort where your 50 go into a bar fall in love with a 20 year old ,marry her in haste and repent at leisure ,the same as ones anywhere in the world , but if you marry an ordinary woman from the same sort of background as yourself ,then chances are it will be the same as marrying a woman anywhere in the world and the chances of it lasting are the same ,not rocket science. 2
Kwasaki Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 I've head girlfriends before?? Freudian? Come on give him a break there's no spell check.
Kwasaki Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Can't vote don't know the answer, maybe let you know if it works out. Sorry I am understandably psychologically arrogate about poles.

maiphedmaiaroi Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 No but no big deal. Plenty more girls out there to keep me busy most of the time. 1
marstons Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 No and never will be here, love's of my life came from the West (Farang ladies) so guess i am going to be a sad lonley old man. . Got so many friends who have loves of their lives who came from bars, just dont get that, still if folks are happy with that up to them.

Yep !! that is sad, get yourself up, dust yourself off and find that companion unless your happy being on your own.

You have no evidence to support that theory. I have no desire to live with an 'ordinary woman' and would quickly tire of one. Chances are that marrying anyone will result in divorce, so why choose someone dull.
Popular Post DocN Posted February 9, 2012 Popular Post Posted February 9, 2012 I would have to specify: my current partner is always the love of my life. What sense would it make otherwise? It may turn out later that she wasn't, though. But for the moment (and I hope it will last forever) she is! 3
WinnieTheKhwai Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 I've head girlfriends before?? Freudian? LOL! Come on give him a break there's no spell check. Show me a spell checker that highlights the word 'head' please. (A grammar check might just work though, but browsers don't have those.)
