Where Can I Dispose Of An Old Fridge/Freezer

Featured Replies

Is is functional? My neighbor recycles them. PM me your address and I'll give it to him.

If its working, give it to a neighbour - that's what I did. One that wasn't working (motor packed up), the guy took the motor out (sold it to be stripped for copper) and used it flat on its back as an ice box!

He use to recycle ones that didn't work, I'm not sure if he does now. I'll ask him when I see him. If not someone will take it apart and get out the copper and whatever else they can as Wolf5370 said.

with out sounding bad, put it out the front on the road , or near your trash collection, and it will be collected and fast !

You could sell it to a shop which buys plastic, metal, paper and so on from salaengs (scavengers), you'll get a few hundred Baht. These shops can be easily recognized, always heaps of garbage all over the place.

Yeah they go in about 15 minutes...usually someone takes them as you wheel it out the gate

Make it into a solar hot water heater. Google. I have built three throught he years from old fridges.

As has been advised, put it on the verge. I'm convinced those recycling guys are using satellight surveilance to spot treasures as they hit the curb.

In Chalong we can't put our rubbish out until we hear the truck in the soi. It will be ransacked.

There is a dumpster by the market behind Chalong Police Station. Just leave it there. I put a sofa there a few weeks ago and it was gone within the hour.
