Has anyone been to the Phuket Prison to visit an inmate? When can you visit? And how do you arrange a 'contact' visit where family can sit together instead of looking through glass? Anyone know?

thanks for your help

I don't think family visits are available in Thai Prisons. I just got back from visiting someone in the IDC in BKK and the best I could arrange was shouting across a 10 foot space along with 100 other inmates with chicken wire either side.

Visiting hours there basically involved arriving at 9am and registering which then meant you could have 30 mins of shouting at 10.30am. Probably a similar sort of system I would have thought. Not much info about Phuket prison on the net....
