question

We are a married couple, belgium/thai , we made a pre marriage contract, but the amphoe was not accepting the contract because english version.

My question, is it possible, to make a marriage contract after the marriage has taken place, and how to register and where.

with best regards

Moved to marriage forum.

Not easy to do, but believe it can be done under circumstances. You will probably need a lawyer for this,as it has to go through the court nd the judge will want to be sure that no other parties are effected by the change from no pre-nup to having a pre-nup.

Inquire with a competent lawyer first if it is possible and under which conditions.

@mario

Thank you for your quick answer.

There was a pre marriage contract, but the amphoer not registerd it, bcs. it was only in english.

For now,like i read it is not easy to register.

just another question, related to dept and assets, if you got married here in thailand, the man is responsibility for depts before the marriage take place, and depts made by wife alone, during the marriage?

Assets bringing in to the marriage , are they still seperate ?

Would be nice for an answer, or is there any webside regarding this topic.

Thank you in advance.

In Thailand everyone is responsible for their own debts before marriage.

They share responsibility for debts during the marriage, but the partner must co-sign any loans.

Assets brought into the marriage are always separate.
