Unlocking Phones In Pattaya

Featured Replies

Arrive in pattaya this weekend.

I have a Panasonic X60 phone which is locked to the Vodaphone network.

I would like to get it unlocked and give it to my niece.

Is there anywhere that would be able to unlock this phone?

There must be someone who can do it. :o

no problem getting phone unlocked , anywhere they repair phones will do it for you for about 200 baht

TukCom IT Complex on South Pattaya road.

First floor Central Festival Center (Big C) on Second road.

There's also a small shop on Second road about a hundred yards

north of the South Pattaya road traffic lights. They have a big sign on the sidewalk

saying they unlock all phones. :o

Naka.

It's relatively simple to unlock a phone, you should have no problem at any of above mentioned places.

I recently bought a new phone in Dubai and lost instuctions and disk that came with it between Dubai and Pattaya, a long story later I ended up downloading software that gives you full control of your phone for free, not what I wonted, but was surprised how simple it was!

Cheers

Normally unlock a phone either a key sequence/pass code or rerom the mobile software.

Thanks, I will take a couple of old phones to get unlocked while in Pattaya.

I have already tried remote unlocking, but it would not work.

I was told that I would have to get it unlocked by cable.

I simply have not had time to unlock it before leaving the UK.

£10-£15 here to have a phone unlocked so 200BT seems canny.

I am an Ebay fan to.

Tried some unlock codes for this phone and for Nokia 6600,6630,6680.

None worked :D .

But I got a full refund... :D

I've taken at least 10 phones to Pattaya from The Wonderful Land of Oz...and had varying degrees of success with unlocking.

Usually no problem with Nokia.

Some Motorolas were OK too...as were SOME Sony Ericssons.

But it turns out that if there is little demand for unlocking/adding Thai language on a particular phone... the shop may not have a connection cable--computer to phone--plus whatever software they need....stiff luck

Good luck with Panasonic

BTW...the shops on the upper floor at Big C Pattaya Klang, are usually MUCH more expensive than other outlets, for adding Thai language, or unlocking.

I usually use one of the guys at the stalls next to the front door of Big C Pattaya Tai--there are 2 of them, both good, and cheap

( A few hundred baht is small bikkies to us...but to the Comptroller of the Treasury...it's sinful to waste even small money.

Ahhh Thais..love 'em )

Got it unlocked at Big C.

500 Baht and also got the Thai language on.

Cheap as chips

Ive had mine unlocked a while ago now.

However since had a new phone, i lost it. Claimed insurance, got a new phone and then found my old phone as you do. Because the lost phone was barred by the phone company, shops in the uk say it cant be unlocked because the IMEA number attached to your phone travels with your phone number when you make a call, this is like the signature of the phone. This is what has been barred. Is it possible to have this fixed in thailand so i can use it again?

Once a phone has been barred in the Uk I think you can only use it abroad.

Took about an hour to get it unlocked.

I used the shop in Big C next to the Nokia outlet.

500 baht to me was a bargain.

I also unlocked a Nokia 7250i for the same price with Thai language, which my neice is now happily using.
