I had an IDP (had posted out from the UK) and with that they did not want to see my UK licence

Strange as an IDP on its own is not recognised, you need to present both an IDP and a valid DL.

Don't disagree with you. I had both but they gave me back my UK DL (hardly looked at it from memory)and just affixed the copies of the IDP to their paperwork.

Strange as an IDP on its own is not recognised, you need to present both an IDP and a valid DL.

When l got my LOS license l did not have my UK license with me, only an AA IDP. No probs.

Another example really of being in Thailand it's not just when you got your license or how, just shows the way DLT's in different areas or provinces carry out issuing licenses.

7 years ago my wife was offered a car license at our local DLT for 500 bht but it has been changed since then.:D

Yes as you say rolleyes.gif sounds like 8 of em paid the school the extra ( XdoshX Snip! ) service. biggrin.png
