Anyone Know What Kind Of Tree

Featured Replies

I have about 6 very tall trees on my land they are not unlike a coconut tree but they are not coconut trees

I am clearing the land for sale, someone called the other day and asked would I sell him the trees he said he would cut and take away the trees and leave the tops for burning

He offered me 200baht each should I sell or not?

If you are interested enough in the 1200 baht to ask then I would say yes.

Timber has a price, it sounds like he will sell it on, around here there are any number of treecutters but if you suspect that the trees they want are valuable like teak or something you would just ask the competition. Often we give them the trees we want to get rid of. The price is about 1.5 to 2k baht per ton depending on what it is. Most of it would be used as industrial firewood I think. So if he thinks they are easy to access, cut down and cut up he may be prepared to pay 1200 as he is probably going to more than double that. I have had a little trouble with them knocking trees down onto irrigation and they will leave behind a mess, so probably best to be around that day, if you had similar concerns.

Do not sell yet, post a close up & landscape shot; myself & others will tell you what you have & how much is it worth.
