Two Russian Ladies Robbed On Jomtien Beach

Two Russian women robbed and assaulted on Jomtien Beach.

An assault and attempted robbery now from Jomtien Beach. Police Major Apimook from Dongtan Police Sub-Station on Jomtien Beach received a complaint from two Russian women that they had just been assaulted and robbed in front of the Sigma Resort Hotel by six Thai men. The men were quickly located by officers, however, three of them managed to escape. They were taken back to the station where the two women positively identified them as the attackers.

A total of 6,500 Baht, 85 US Dollars and a small quantity of Russian Currency were taken by the men who approached the two women on three motorcycles. The money could not be recovered as the three escapees had fled with the cash. The three arrested young men are aged between 15 and 18 and confessed to their involvement in the case and were charged with assault and robbery. The hunt for the remaining three gang members is now on.

Is it me or does it seem Jomtien's getting the bulk of crime these days compared to Patters?

No I think you are right Brit....what with the Katoeys up there as well.

I will certainly stick to Patters.....especially now that the Beach has been swept by MIB

Or perhaps we're just not used to hearing about crime over on Geritol Beach?

Criminals will always look for the weakest victims the greatest distance from police protection.

Sounds like a job for the TPV to me!
