Suspected Drunk driver arrested following road crash in Central Pattaya

PATTAYA:--A suspected drunken driver was lucky to escape serious injury after he lost control of his pick-up and smashed into a Palm Tree in the central reservation.

The accident occurred just before 4am on Saturday at the Central Pattaya intersection with the Sukhumvit Road. The driver of the pick-up, Khun Wittaya aged 24, who was alone inside the vehicle, sustained minor injuries and was offered assistance to remain standing due to his severely intoxicated state, according to Police at the scene. Witnesses reporting seeing the Black Mitsubishi Triton come out from Soi Siam Country Club at a high rate of speed.
