I am coming to LOS next year in Sept. for 5 months. I have been to LOS 3 times

1 month each time. The only 2 places I have been is BKK and Pattaya.

I have asthma so Bkk is out. I like Pattaya . What I want to know is other

ocean front areas that I could look at. Oh this trip is to see if I want to live

in Thailand. Like I said I want

1) to be near the ocean for the air.

2) I would like some nightlife

3) I was told I could live in Pattaya on $2,000 USD so any where

I would consider would have to be as cheap to live.

4) I would like to be fairly close to BKK< & Pattaya as I have

friends there.

Thanks,

So you are thinking of living in LOS but cannot even be bothered to buy a map.

Best of Luck

Thetyim,

That smart arse remark is un called for on this forum. Pattaya is not a good place to live if you have asthma. The population has grown which has brought more cars and motorbikes, causing more air polution. Try Phuket or Krabi.

He stipulated "4) I would like to be fairly close to BKK< & Pattaya as I have

He also wants to live for 5 months on US$ 2,000.

Check out Samut Prakan Whittler :o

By the way, nothing wrong with the air quality in Pattaya ... nothing like

dirty, sooty Bangers.

Naka.

Having asthma is not relative

There are only a few ocean front places near Patters.

Why can't the OP do a google himself.

Maps and lists of accommodation are freely available.

Takes about 30 seconds to find.

why not post in a forum and get other peoples experiences, thats what its here for

Probably how he found this place.... go play in the corner until you're in a better mood Thetyim.

There are lots of places by the sea where you can find peace and relaxation. If you want nightlife Pattaya or Phuket are best but there is also Hua Hin. You can easily survive on 2 K a month if you eat Thai food. If you plan on staying a long time in LOS then you eventually may want to move away from the raging nightlife. So you could plan to start in Pattaya then move an hour away toward the east to a quieter seaside town. You could visit pattaya when you want the noise and toys.

I want to thank everyone, well almost everyone for their help. :o

I will check out these places when I come back. You know that is one

thing I noticed when I was in LOS, How friendly everyone was.

Over here in the states it is the exception rather than the rule.

I hope you ALL have a Happy New Year.

I hope you find your personal "Nivarna"

But dont limit your choices, ther are so many beautiful locations to choose from, really depends on your critera.

but if you want all the amenities and CHEAP.....................consider Chaingmai..... Air quiality is not as bad as people make out, especially if you dont live in town itself (which most of us living here don't)

Good luck

TP

PS. i lived in BKK for 2 years before moving here and I find the AQ up here MUCH better (although I am sure someone will say satistics will proove me wrong!
