Sophon has not been up to par since they did their so called "upgrade" a few months ago.

I've also noticed that their signal degrades on several channels during severe rainstorms. That would normally be attributed to their satellite dishes being tuned incorrectly or simply too small for the strength of the incoming signal-- but it takes 2 to 3 days for the signal to return to what passes for normal - which is not really normal by cable TV standards.

I contacted their VP and he said they are "working on it", but their video quality is still very poor in general on many channels.

The only saving grace that justifies the poor quality is that the cost of Sophon is very cheap by world cable TV standards. Personally, I'd be willing to pay more for quality service.
