Taking A Car Into Laos For A Road Trip ?

Featured Replies

Talking a car into Laos for a road trip ?

How much hassle is it to take a car over there , I was thinking my Mrs car in her name not my truck .

Is there much paper work what would we need ?

Fancy Driving over there for a few days... Chilling ..

The car needs to be clear of finance, you need a car passport and a few photocopies.

You pay a few hundred baht for insurance in laos.

look in the motoring form for threads detailing all this.

The last thing you will be doing if you drive in Laos is "chilling". More like pulling your hair out. Don't forget to purchase insurance...

Indeed, you'll probably get more responses there than in visas, so moved.

Look at the thread titled "Driving a Thai registered car in Laos" for a list of whats needed.
