Talking a car into Laos for a road trip ?

How much hassle is it to take a car over there , I was thinking my Mrs car in her name not my truck .

Is there much paper work what would we need ?

Fancy Driving over there for a few days... Chilling ..

Been there a few time roads very quiet not much traffic hey I can chill driving in Bangkok ;]
