we have 12 rain-drains around our house,2years ago i saw a large snake disappear down one so i covered the holes with that black plastic netting.on checking every so often holes appeared,what was eating it snakes or rats?then one of our neighbours told me he had trouble with rats so i covered the drains for him sure enough holes appeared the same as mine so i bought some wire netting to cover them this done the trick.last week i emptied our pond,took one of the drain covers up and pumped the water into the drain when up came this large rat,i did escort him off my property in a plastic bag.i have always put rat killer pellets down the drains and check arround the garden for any bodies i dont want my beloved dog to get his teeth into one of them.yesterday morning i found a body of a rat in the garden with his head missing anyone have any idea what could have done it? i am talking about the 4legged ones.
