Happy the way we played should have at least scored one in the first half, 2nd half once they scored game over.

Spurs have some great players and well done deserved their win.

really nev? the bar has dropped a hell of a long way since ferguson then.

First half yes we are where we are, at least we had a go.

Yes the bar is lower from the fergie era.

Mourinho has completely lost the plot. 3rd season meltdown well and truly underway.

I think since he didn't get his way over the summer he is now out to make a point or rather not as it turns out

IMO he needs to go now, not next month or next season but right now

Mourinho has become a caricature of himself. You have to ask how a squad of professional footballers could have any respect for a manager who embarrasses himself like that. Mourinho looks in need of a shrink, and has for a long time now.

Long gone are the days when at his post match press conferences he'd sit there making unpleasant barbs about other managers and sneering into the camera.  Petulant sneering little sh1t

Oh I dunno. Seems like he's doing them all at once rather than individually now:thumbsup:...."The other nineteen have only 2 between them....I have 3 on my own!"

They should be asking him about the terrific backing he's received and how he's spent it, then perhaps he might realize why they didn't want to give him any more, but rather start improving the players he bought in.

But apparently theres no rift with Woodward!!!!  Yeah, right!!

Oh and apparently, tactically they didn't lose!!!  So reading between the lines Mourinho is saying his team might have lost but he didn't because he did everything right.................theres a surprise!!!

Well, to look on the positive side, there were some good points to the game........

In the first half United pushed forward well and the ball went from defence through the midfield to the frontline far quicker than it has in the past, with far fewer sideways passes, although probably more back passes than before!

Shaw had a great game throughout the whole match and Valencia pushed forward much more effectively than he has in the past. Lingard buzzed around the place, sometimes effectively, and that about sums it up for United.

On the downside..........Pogba was played in a more forward position, as this was supposedly more suited to his game, however he was ineffective throughout and one has to wonder about his future here.

As I have said previously, Jones will always be susceptible to injury because of his style of last-ditch tackles, stretching and lunging, whereas although Smalling had some good aspects to his game, he was left exposed on a one-on-one situation with a nifty forward and that's never good for a defender.

Lukako is going through a bad patch maybe needs to lay off the donuts, and the lack of real firepower up front showed again.

Come January....... sell players and have a clear out, perhaps even sell Pogba for a mighty sum to a foreign club, bring in some exciting talent and also see what is available coming up through the ranks and give some of those guys a chance, and if they are not there, then look to the club to ensure that they are for the future.

Oh, and replace Maureen.

One thing you notice about Mourinho's teams since his second stint in England, is their exposure when he does actually switch tactics to attack. It was actually nice to see them having a go for a bit, but as soon as Spurs switched up a gear the space at the back was noticeable.

The cautious, grinding out, seems his only way to win games now, I'm sure they didn't play like that at Chelsea in his first stint. Solid and deadly.

People should be reminded now having heard Mourinho's pathetic walkout demanding "respect" that Arsene Wenger won three premierships too yet Mourinho referred to Wenger as a specialist in failure.  Well Jose, those who want respect show respect.

Seems like the only one sticking up for Jose is that fatheaded globule Allardyce.  But then again, his head always seemed stuck up Fergusons rectum.

Is there a pattern perhaps he covets the job when Jose gets fired!!

almost certainly thinks he's qualified for it too.

whereas in reality zinedine zidane is hovering like a bald, well, eagle over mourinho's shoulder right now.

Surely ManU will go for Poch next and surely Poch must be ready for a bigger challenge/club.

He must be on the brink now. United are a massive club and with that comes massive responsibilities. There’s no use cracking on about Ambassodors etc if your main man is embarrassing the club worldwide with his tantrums irrespective of results.  Bobby Carlton et al must be cringing looking on.

Poch fits their profile. Well spoken, respectful at all times and recognised now as one of the best coaches in the world. Personally I dont think he would go there as he’s got unfinished business at Spurs.

He's not going anywhere as he has a nice long contract.

Kadilo - "Personally I dont think he would go there as he’s got unfinished business at Spurs."

You are probably right that he has unfinished  business at Spurs but they haven't backed him this season with new players to strengthen that team so i don't see him picking up the Premier any time soon but maybe he could win a cup. One day presumably a big club, a Madrid or ManU, will come sniffing and surely he'd be tempted.

Ronnie - "He's not going anywhere as he has a nice long contract.

Contracts are not broken or compensation paid? They are you know. Levy would get his bag of silver as just like players, a manager has a sale price.

All of this is of course subjective on the basis Poch continues to do the business.

I think the reluctance to hire Mourinho is starting to show. He has got it very wrong in terms of recruitment and his management style is not suiting the team. I think he needs to exit as he's clearly lost both the dressing room and the boardroom and is now in outburst mode.

Seriously need a plan B and Zidane without 1 minute of PL experience is not it. I believe they are a capable team and someone could come in and make a big impact fast.

Trust me I don't feel intimidated by the big horrible people on Thai visa. More I don't have the power to respond. I enjoy talking to people on here even if they don't support my club.

But what we have here is a complex problem which equates to more than 'blame Mourinho'. For that reason I usually check redcafe (dot) com in moments like this where we get down and dirty about what exactly is wrong on a more in depth level. What I definitely won't be doing is listening to anything an American who happens to have watched the match is saying.
