Rayong Ladyboy Arrested Tricked Children Into Prostitution

Police arrested a ladyboy and mamasan who were tricking children into prostitution and selling sexual services at many hotels in Klaeng area, Rayong

RAYONG – June 3, 2012 [PDN]; Pol. Maj. Gen. Chawalit Sawaengpeuch, Commissioner, Mrs. Paweena Hongsakul, the Chairman of Paweena Hongsakul Foundation for Children and Women, reported on the arrest of Mr. Sitthichai or “Plai” Inthanarm age 21, the ladyboy and the mamasan Mrs. Kanyanat or “Yui” Sangamuang age 34 in possession of one amphetamine tablet, three mobile phones, 2,200 THB in cash and drug paraphernelia including a notebook of with names and telephone numbers of customers.

Pol. Maj. Gen. Chawalit said that, he had been notified by Paweena Hongsakul foundation to follow a girl “A” (alias) age 13 after she disappeared from her home on May 15, 2012.

The parents of girl “A” said that before their daughter disappeared she had made a phone call to one of her friends in Chonburi or Rayong province.

Later the so the police found out that girl “A” is in Klaeng, Rayong province where she was tricked in to prostitution by Mr. Sitthichai, the pimp.

The police set up a sting operation to the catch the pimp and made appointment with girl “A” at a hotel but when girl “A” arrived at the hotel and saw the police she was frightened and escaped on a motorbike back her room # 12 Hometentor, Khaodin, Klaeng province.

Maybe it would have been nice to mention whether the "customers" where Thai or foreign.

But that of course would put some bad image on Thai society or confirms why foreigners are here.

My guess is, that it confirms that 90-95% of Thai prostitution is used by Thais.

Of course..........it's a sad case, who ever is (ab)using those kids.

She's not being identified because she's a minor! The address they gave out was the obviously the one of a rental room and not the address of her parent's place or wherever it was she was living at before she got pimped off! Use your brain, mate!

Why is a 13 year old girl 'frightened' of the police ? So scared of the cops that she'd run home to her pimp? I'd like to know a little more about how the police set up a sting operation? How did the know the pimps phone number, was the request for a child for sex done in person? Why wouldn't the police check the phone records of the parents to see who the girl phoned instead of just guessing it was to someone in Rayong or Chonburi or where ever. How did this 13 year old girl find/develope a friend like the mamasan or LB ?

Pretty much all can be answered by lack of parenting. If the kid is 13, we can assume that her mum probably had her while she was herself in her teens. So young mum, possibly a single mother or cohabiting with some boyfriend (same as being single IMHO) and a good chance that they are yaabaa heads themselves and if not knowingly selling their kid into sex, probably too f*cked up to prevent it.
