Dengue Fever

Featured Replies

Lots of talk about DENGUE and I was afflicted with it twice. Just want people to know that three months after the fact you will have what is called TOXIC ALOPECIA and 2/3rds of your hair will fall out. It will fall out by handfuls, but will grow back, so don't panic.

No, it's not rare. What happens is that the high fevers one gets with Dengue causes Toxic Alopecia...just a good thing to know if you get it....which I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy...hmmmm, let me re-phrase that!
