Aussie Rules Football

Featured Replies

The Thailand Tigers Senior AFL Club is always welcoming new members and players of the great game of Aussie Rules.

The club was founded way back in 1996 when a couple of expat-Aussies just wanted a kick of the footy. Though the size of the club has now grown to about --- members of which 25 regularly play, the main ambition of the club is still to have a lot of fun having a kick of the footy. Anybody interested in running around with a bunch of mates on a Saturday afternoon would be most welcome; no matter the age, experience or nationality.

For the socially minded the club has regular functions including Friday Night Football drinks at Tenderloins in Sukhumvit 33. For the fitness enthusiasts there is training at NIST school every Tuesday night at 6.30 and regular domestic matches on Saturday afternoons.

The club also competes in several International games every year. There is the popular Anzac Day match at Kanchanaburi each year as well as the Pattaya Cup which will be held this year on the 30th of June against Laos.

The Asian Championships will be held in Bangkok again this year on the 11th of August and this year 12 teams from across Asia will compete for the title.

If you would like to find out more details then email the Thailand Tigers on [email protected] or visit them on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/?ref=tn_tnmn#!/groups/thailandtigers/.
