For starters, I would be good to know who is operating thaiexpat.tv and where are they registered as a businesses.

The services appears to have been running for less than a month. It looks like the domain is privacy protected: i.e. person who has registered THAIEXPAT.TV has instructed the registrar not to reveal his/ her name and address.

Well it has been 5 days from the Opening post and not a reply from the sponsers,as a prospective customer that does not give me much confidence,i have also PM them and am still waiting there response.

It really is a simple question regarding the legalities of this as the last company had to close down giving refunds.

I really hope they have found a way around the legalities as i here the streams are very good but i will not become a customer until i hear from the company on this.

Note.....strange that the company is still posting adverts here and there but will not reply to this issue on the forum.

Hi MrRed,

This is the first time we have seen this forum post, thank you for bringing this to our attention by a private message.

We can understand your concerns about legality issues.

Please refer to this link: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2008/05/02/swiss_uk_tv_ripoff/

We have a similar business model to Zattoo. As you can see the date on the news article is from 2008, this company is still successfully operating now in 2012.

We are not lawyers, but when we speak with the lawyers, they see no problem as long as we leave the free to air content unchanged.

IPTV in absolutely legal in Thailand and please feel free to buy a service from any of the other providers in Thailand.

Also in reference to your post about UKTV in Pattaya, we are in no way linked or affiliated with UKTV, our business model is totally different, and from what we heard is they did not get closed for legal reasons.

I hope this reply has answered all of your concerns.

If you still have concerns about subscribing to our service, we invite you to just pay month by month using our PayPal subscription service; this can be cancelled at any time by contacting PayPal.

Many Thanks,
