Can Anyone Recommend A Beach On Phangan Please ?

Featured Replies

Hello ,

nipping over for 2 nights for full moon in august, im noticing lots of places booked up around Haad Rin or require minimum 4 nights stay,

can anyone recommend a beach which you can get to Haad rin easily by taxi but is like 15 minutes away ?

bit vague i know but just looking for suggestions

thanks

Ban Tai? I wouldn't necessarily recommend it, but for convenience to the party.

Even in Ban Tai, (KP) many places do the minimum stay thing, plus prices usually go up! sad.png

Most places on any part of the island have taxi set up to get to Haad Rin... some take you to a transfer point in Tongsala (all multi person taxi, expect to pay more as a single user! )

For one of the nicest beaches on the Island (KP) try Mae Haad Beach, several resorts there... a bit more than 15 minutes to get to HR, but a relaxing atmosphere in Mae Haad... and prices do not go up...

If I remember correctly the Taxi price is 200 baht to FMP from at least one resort on Mae Haad (don't quote me!) Set time to leave, I think, usually 8pm. You make your own way back...

Alternatively if you are on Samui, there are speed boats that take you there and back...(runs all night) just don't loose the ticket back! most leave from Ban Rak, (Samui) ....around 1000 baht +-......

Thong Nai Pan Yai.....boat there and back and a decent quiet sleep guaranteed....better to do at least three nights though I think from there.
