Careful with Penang, nowadays they are fussy regarding One Year Multiple Entry Non Immigrant Category 'B' Visas, in particular they ask for a minimum of 8 Million Company Capitalisation.

Also watch the validity period for the WP at Penang and KL is as well.

If you plan to go to Penang then you can phone and check for their current requirements, as they do answer the phone.

Yes, you can either apply for a 1 year extension of stay at immigration (if your job and income qulaify you for that) or appply for a new non-B visa abroad.

Penang and Kaula Lumpur should give you a multiple non-B. See http://www.thaivisa....ring-countries/

In our important visa information thread. read the notes!

i guess is 50000bht x month to qualify?

For a One Year Non Immigrant B Visa which would be issued at a Consulate outside of Thailand there are no specific income/tax requirements per se, other than what ever Labour required to have issued your Work Permit..

Attached below is a list of requirements for a One Year Extension of Permission to Stay based on Employment in the Kingdom of Thailand which has specific income and Tax criteriae.

Note that the incoem reuirement depends on your nationality.

For some jobs there is no income requirement at all. (example teachers, members of the media, working for the government).
