Swimming Pool

Featured Replies

From opening to 09.00 and then from 17.00 till close only Lap swimming is allowed.

The owner is a keen swimmer and I understand he wishes to attract Serious swimmers before or after working hours.

As long as I stay in my lane, not matter how slow I go, that is lap swimming too?

Is there a shortage of lanes, better times?

The Pool is 25 by 16 mtrs.

This allows 7 by 2 mtrs lanes and 2 edge lanes of 1 metre.

The rules are not Strictly enforced especialy during the morning when two elderly Thai ladies 70 + & 85 do their own thing.

All very friendly and understanding folk.

Give it a try.

Agree with many posters that the pool at the 700 year stadium is the best and cleanest of the public ones. Big size, but no you cannot use the diving boards which are chained off (although some Thai youngsters manage to do it). It's baht 60 for nonmembers, 30 for members with B 500 annual membership (need copy of passport and 1 photo). Usually, it's not very crowded, especially before 4 pm.

By contrast, I find the swimming pool at CMU crowded and dirty. I get colds after swimming there (I doubt they have much disinfectant in the water) and it is smaller than the above pool because part of it is roped off (for beginners?).
