Thai Proof of Address / Residence Certificate in English (?)
What you call "proof of address" can be a puny letter from the hotel you are staying in. It can even not be a letter, just a computer print out from the hotel's list of guests will suffice in Thailand. Or it can be a TM 30 from your landlord. In order to open a bank account in most countries you will need a certificate from town hall or a utility bill. You don't get a utility bill on your name unless you live somewhere long time. Again, it depends on what you choose to call "proof of address". If your foreign bank is satisfied with a "certificate of residence" from IO, by all means go for it! -
