sbk
Yes it is possible to send a motorbike via the Thai Post. Moving this to the Phuket forum so you can get Post office information
Sydneycraig
Thanks... Sounds odd but sure I read heard it somewhere that it's easy as abc!!
sbk
It is, we've done it even from Koh Phangan, the Post Office will want you to drain most the gas out of the tank (for obvious reasons) and you will need the green book etc but it is quite simple, Not sure how much from Phuket, but most likely you will have to go to the Main Post Office to do it. LivinginKata
You can send from any post office in Phuket. Kata, Patong, Phuket Town, etc, etc Wherever suits you best.
ricklev
I've never had to drain out the gas and I've mailed my bike about 5 times. They usually do it, but not always. Guess it depends how much is in there and if they need the gas.
humpty
I just posted my bike from Phuket to Chonburi last month, cost 2000 Baht and took approx 1 week. You can attach 2 helmets included in the postage price. You need your passport, green book and that's about it, can be tracked online. I think it's a great service. PattayaPhom
Yep, can post it anywhere, Samui to BKK used to be about 1k so....some things about Thailan that are really great and this is one of them....just imagine the look on the tellers face at the GPO if you said you wanted to post a bike from Lands End to John 'O' Groats
